Finally did my 335xi dyno, 376whp/456wtq

Was surprised by how low the WHP was and how high the torque was. Not sure now if I want to add downpipes as I'm worried about the torque going above 450.

Dyno was done on Map 3, 70 add, Meth Scaling 60, Future Use B=100, 2.5gal 91 + 1 Gal E98 (shop forgot to order my MS109, did what I could to still run). I'll put up the JB4 logs later, but basically 19-19.5 psi tapering down to 16psi. First run the dyno guy did hit the kickdown, even though I explained it to him beforehand

Hot damn! ~450lbft from essentially DCI, Meth, and 93oct... I think nailer did about the same with Mr. 5, meth, dp's and pump.

It does look like you are leaving a lot of top end on the table, which dp, fmic, and potentially a new midsection can help.

I understand the concern for getting torque too high, especially down low. Talk to Terry and see if he can work something out (custom map 6) to keep low end & midrange torque under control.

I was surprised by the torque, pretty nuts but does explain how this car gets out of the hole even weighing as much as it does.

The shop fans were pitiful and not too much cooldown between runs, also I have iffy plugs and need to do the valve cleaning so some WHP left on the table just as things are there.

Yeah good idea I forgot about map 6, I think I'll probably put the cp-e DP and Big Toms FMIC on since I have them already and pay Terry to do some remote tuning next time I go to the dyno.

From a dig it's insane, once it's up at the top of 3rd gear and into 4th I can feel it run out of steam a bit. I didn't buy the car for top-end power though so to me it's great

Going to put on the DP and FMIC and redo the dyno with some proper race fuel this time, apparently my runs were tainted a bit as I was pulling timing so there is some power on the table with proper fuel.

Great numbers, I'll keep an eye out for your posts. I have a 335xi in my future.

Agreed, kind of odd but my car has always done that, fastest times are always when I shift around 6k rpm, 6-7k is a dead zone.

I'm hoping when I get the DP, FMIC, new plugs and pure race gas that next time I can see more power on the top end.

Yeah I was all set to order them but backed out, there is a 535xi that is getting RBs and another 335xi so I'm waiting to see how well their drivetrain holds up. Also curious to see how the 335xi Vishnu is putting a single in holds up, I can wait a few more months and let a few others be the guinea pigs

No, they are testing it on a few select customer's cars, no release date or price yet.

i suspect the Vishnu kit will hold up better then Rb's in terms of drivetrain. the single turbo will help out more with horsepower then torque so not as much strain on the drivetrain.

I'm not looking to buy the Vishnu kit, but I'm watching what they are doing to see how the AT reacts and the transfer case/axles, if I do buy a single it will be when someone releases a manifold.

I haven't completely ruled out the RBs, just wanted to see a few people run the single on an AT, and at least one XI run the single also on an AT. There may be some tricks to reduce peak torque on the RBs to help the drivetrain, so if the single fails to impress that will be the route I take.

yeah the RB's seem sick. when my turbos eventually go out i will probably go that route also. if you get them you probably wont have that problem of power up top anymore haha

yea im prety close to buying Rbs ive waited and thot long about the single kits vs the Rbs. The convincing point for me is being able to make 500hp with the lil twins. ....any who good luck with your build in the future mykal i think your setup is kicka** thus far!
