Euro Air Box vs. AFE intake vs. Stock

running a euro air box on their n52? I currently have the AFE intake, but i hear that the euro air box is the way to go. i currently have the BMS PBX but i plan on going AA tune eventually. I'm real interested in hearing the difference. im looking on the forums but its like split.

I'd be interested in buying your old parts from you when you upgrade. Not sure if I want to just go the same route that your thinking but let me know.

thread has been covered already but from my understanding the open airbox of an AFE intake just sounds nice but you lose gains because you're soaking in hot air. I believe there are dynos around the forum to prove this. I do not own a euro box but the enclosed box keeps that hot air away and if you do go with a euro one, cleaning the filter is so much easier when you just need to pop off the top rather than removing the whole intake box. I'm not all too sure but I think euro boxes use a cone filter?

as for anything I dunno. hope everything works out!

The 3 stage manifold swap is a worthy mod. It's a pretty straight forward DIY, just takes a 3-6 hours depending upon your skillset. Then you would need a tune to fully utilize it. You should be able to get one in the 200's and a tune in the 300's as well.

Personally you wont notice anything that different power or noise (maybe because i've gotten used to the slight change that I remember when I first did the K&N and charcoal delete) but on old start he does sound a little deeper in tone and the throttle was a tad bit more responsible. other than that its okay; its cheap and probably the next best thing next to dropping on a BMW PI or gruppe M.

as for the manifold swap; best thing you can do for NA guys that have a 325i. I had LTBMW install it for me since i have no skills in this department haha but im saving to get AA's stage 2 tune but the car has been runnning well since the swap and i've put well over 10k miles with it on. I'm a college student so I don't have the money yet to buy the tune but i'll write a review once i'm done and have money

Yeah, 200 sounds really low. When I was looking for one using Washington's junkyard source, I got an average of like, 550.
