Haven't tried the "2", but in my opinion the Asymmetric 1 F1 was an awesome tire. They are very wide, have excellent grip in wet and dry, ultra quiet and very nice handling. Outstanding all round tires for road use. Hopefully the Asymmetric 2 is more of the same.
It seems like everyone is buying Michelin PSS at the moment, and forgot about the Goodyears. |

I had the Asymmetric F1 for 25K miles and did 9 track days with them. They held up great and had very even wear. I loved them! When it came time to replace them, the F1 2 wasn't out yet and the PSS seemed to be the hot ticket. I think the PSS and F1 are very close. I'm anxious to see the testing in Tirerack to see how it performs. Gary - any timeframe on testing?

I would expect us to have a test of these during this summers testing season.

I just ordered goodyear eagle assymetric 2 F1. The reason is simple. The continental DW will be shipped from two warehouses and the shipping is more expensive

Well. How are they? Almost a week later.

So far I like them. The rear end doesn't get skittish on uneven pavement like the RFTs did. It's not a true comparison as I'm coming from my 17" winter non-RFTs, so haven't had the RFTs since last fall. The ride is definitely more compliant than the Potenzas, but I have no complaints with road feel or crispness as I was afraid I might.
And they grip like a mother. |

I am happy. But again, I'm coming off 17" winters so it feels like night and day coming from those, and only got to go out in the twisties for about an hour on them so far.
