IVA-D300 Installation

I have an Alpine IVA-D300 and wanted to install it in my 2006 325i. Any recommendations on DIY?

Pick up a dash mount DIN bracket from Crutchfield, wiring harness, and go to town!

tap into your cigarette lighter for the ACC wire, as the radio harness does not use one. Other than rewiring your stock speakers to an aftermarket amp, it's pretty easy. If you're rewiring to an aftermarket amp, expect to spend a while in your trunk... i fell asleep.

I hear that you can't upgrade the car SW with the OEM HU removed. Comments?

i got the exact same unit put in my car a week ago, ihad a friend install it for me it looks pretty dope, i also ordered this part from ebay that bypasses the the video so i can watch while the car is in motion,
