I think the confusion of this thread calls for a clarification:
ci = coupe cic = convertible Is that correct? I recall back in the 1990s that "ci" was the designation for convertible. Has something changed? (sorry left BMW since the Bangle era but obviously returned with the coupe and vert now around.)

I believe, lowercase c (ci) denotes coupe, while uppercase C (Ci) denotes convertible.
Right now, there are no more suffix to differentiate the models, save for xi. It's kind of stupid, but I'm not BMW. So we call our cars by the internal designations, e.g. E90, E91, E92 and E93. Oh yeah, to the OP, if the dealer is acutally offering you 36k for it, go for it, no way any one on this board is going to pay 38k Quote:

OP, have you been living in a hole? How in the world can you come up with those figures? And I highly doubt that the dealer will give you 36K for your car. Then they will have to turn around and sell it for 38K or higher, then who will buy it? No one is that stupid. Plus, it's a 330i. Like most of the members are saying, you can get a BRAND NEW 3 series for the price you're asking for yours. To be honest, if I had a choice in buying used and spending a couple of thousand more on a new car, I would buy the new car. Just my $.02.
What is the reason why you are selling your car? Do you want to get the e93?

Why would you not trade it in at 36k if your looking for 38k? When you trade in the car you get 36,000 plus the tax savigs so at 6% the car is being traded in at $31,860 which is MORE than your trying to sell it here for. Also you never said it was a conv in the first post. Secondly you need pictures to sell something you want almost 40k for. Lastly if you have $36000 on trade go trade it in NOW. Thats a great number so stop wasting your time here. I am not trying to be a dick I am just trying to give you some friendly advice because I sell BMW's and this is what I would reccomend for you to do.
