What production year began to support BMW Apps?
Hi everyone, I was looking into a 335i later this year. Just researching and had a question:
When the new iDrive came out in ~2009 in the LCI E90, the coupe took on the new iDrive system too, was it since that new iDrive release that BMW Apps / COnnected Drive was supported or is just very recent and only 2011+ cars with iDrive would support Online / ConnectedDrive / BMW Apps. Reason being is I like my tech stuff and it sounds quite cool that you can use your iPhone for certain controls as well as web browsing. Also, with web browsing, do you just plug your iphone into the adapter in the centre console and the BMW gets it's internet connection from the phone? Or does the car have it's own transmitter / receiver? Thanks.
