Brake fan??
I don't know if this type of stuff had been talked about here, but I'll try you guys. Three types I came across:
1) Fan mechanism that bolts onto the hub (where spacers would sit) http://ultracoolbrakefans.com/main/product-images 2) Fan mechanism that attaches to the wheel like a wheel cover (like a hub cap) http://www.mat.fi/n_index.php?nav=ga...exbiasion&g=13 (go to pic# 96-108) 3) fan-shaped wheel spokes, sometimes called "wheel fairings" See pics attached How effective are these? Why are these not widely used on street performance/sport cars? Which directions should the fan spokes be? Suck the air out of rim, or shove air into rim? More questions to come... I donno, just trying to get some ideas about brake cooling ![]() |
