Question Advan RS Help Needed - Major Rubbing w/ 19x10 wrapped in 275

Hey guys, looking for some input here. I just had LTBMW install my Advan RS yesterday with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires:
Front: 19x8.5 et 35 w/ 10mm spacer (effective et 25mm) on 235/35/19
Rear: 19x10 et 24 on 275/30/19

My pre-LCI, E90 is lowered on KW V1, fenders rolled by LTBMW, and while the front is good to go, the rear is rubbing pretty good right now. It's not rubbing constantly, but pretty much anytime there's a bump, under heavy acceleration, and sporty cornering. I just went to dinner with 3 people in the car and the right rear took a few nice slices out of the outer edge; not good.

When we got home and I saw my brand new, expensive rubber looking like it was just attacked by a potatoe peeler, I told my wife (who was sitting in the back seat) that she needed to go on a diet.
After she finished hitting me I showed her the damage. I kid you not, she turned to me and said, "I thought if it's not rubbing, it's not right?"

I love this woman!

So, the question is this; help me decide whether or not to:
1) downgrade to 265/30/19 rear tires or
2) raise the rear coilovers or
3) start messing with the rear camber.

Not sure right now which way to go. Good news is the wheels look perfect (I plan on taking some photos this weekend). I really want to keep the wider rear tires for the increased traction. Any thoughts?

Definitely go with a smaller tire. The Michelin PSS is already a very wide tire to begin with so you might need to downgrade to 255 if you want to stick with it. 265 would be good if you ran Falkens or another brand of tire that is more rounded.

Yup, for sure go down to 255 or 265 with Michelin. Unless you want to do the extra work with some negative camber. Either way it should look good. Same wheels as me, except I am 19x10 20 offset in the rear with a 275/30/19, Hankook. But not on my car yet, haha.

I could have told you it would rub. The "if it's not rubbing, it's not right" thing is bs. If you do it right, you won't rub. It also doesn't apply to big 275s.. of course it'll rub. Definitely drop to a 265.

Cool

Thanks for the input guys. I went ahead and ordered some 265's; getting them installed tomorrow. Bummed the 275's don't fit, but they're for sale if anybody is interested. Photos below.

before you sell, max out the camber and run a few bumpstops. could save you some time and money. and dont worry so much about the side wall rub, ive rubbed 2 sets of rears to where its polished and cannot read any letterings. Also with some 4-5mm deep gouges so youll be ok.

I'm surprised that the PSS 275/30 aren't more square actually on 19x10.

I'm not interested in changing up my KW V1's.

The "ADVAN RACING" isn't upside down; the wheel just needs to roll forward a foot and then it will be on the top of the wheel.

I went to a 265 and no issues now. Still looks great and didn't have to touch my camber or raise the coilovers.

Thanks guys.

Hope you figure this issue out. I'm sure a smaller tire will do the trick.

BTW... I liked your old wheels on your car better than the advans.

V1s, that makes sense for rubbing.
