Quick Review: Vishnu/FFTEC Single Turbo Ride Along (Warp Speed)

I met up with Shiv the other night for a little testing. We went for a spin in the Single Turbo car afterwards. I have to say that I have fallen in love with the 335 all over again.

It sounds 10000X better then a normal twin turbo 335. I love the turbo spool sound. The top end is out of this world. It felt as though we were hitting warp speed as we approached the top of each gear. The power band feels much better than the small twins as it yanks all the way to the top (really sucks you into your seat). There was absolutely no lag at all. When Shiv really got on it and No Lift Shifted there was no de-spool of the turbo whatsoever. I know what I'll be getting after my wedding next month.

The fastest car I had ever been in was Rob@Vishnu's Corvette Z06 with a fully built engine. The single turbo car felt faster. (sorry Rob) It is much more daily driveable and much more sleeper than a Vette will ever be. Thank you for the ride along Shiv, can't wait to be a part of the single turbo crew.

This is a actual picture of the inside of Shiv's Single Turbo 335 under WOT.

I couldn't agree more. I'm going to work on that.

Rob and Shiv lined up next to this mega douche driver in a 458 Italia the other day. That would have been an epic race. But the Italia was too puss to actually race. Man he would have been in for a surprise.

Maybe if I didn't get as much fun out of it as the passenger. I always get a kick out of their reaction. Come to think of it, I need to take my mom for a spin

Shiv, at one point you mentioned you will be working on improving the lower rpms, did you get around to doing that? Thanks!

To improve low rpm boost response in out development car, all we were going to do was retrofit a production turbo with billet CEA turbine. The same thing that customers are getting. But we haven't even gotten around to that yet. Which means the results we are getting now will be bettered by customers.

Is there any negatives on this single turbo kit? Homie's reviews are bias as always.

But yeah....cool story bro!

You can sell yours to OP. Low rpm does not exist in warp speed.

You know Shiv, your mom will probably ground you and make you drive the parts car to work for the next month. Depending on what kind of a mood she's in, she may even take away your PS3 before she sends you to your room.

Yes, there is a downside: You'll have to pull off the kit to pass smog.
