Meth vs e85 mix

Question:

I have a JB4 - and was wondering if I would be better off running a meth setup or keep on running a 93/e85 mix and do some upgrades to the jb4 such as the 15ohm mod and the JB4 CPS / SLD alpha and doing some tweeking with that?

The reason I ask this is because last night I did some runs today with a friend of mine, so I can compare two different maps. Map 2 and Map 7.

We were doing a 40 roll - and in map 2 I would pull him each time a car or two by the mid of forth gear. But in map 7 he would pull me every time. I am not to sure how this can be since I should be running more boost on map 7 then map 2 right?

Map 2: 14.5psi
Map 7: 17psi

Race was from a 40 roll at 2nd car.
Running a 50/50 93/e85 mix
Mods: JB4, 3" c*tless downpipes, drop in k&n air filter

Both and i believe 15ohm mod is only useful if you are running the meth.. 93/e85 mix probably not equivilent to the 100oct 'race gas' that Map 7 needs so I would guess you're probably not hitting those boost levels.

were you letting the JB4/car adapt to each new map setting?

just run 93 octane and meth 70/30 mix with a cm10 nozzle . I would run though map 3 with additive and safety.

The only map that needs to 'adapt' is map 5.

The logs I have prove that I was hitting the right boost levels.

Actually every map on the Jb4 would need to adapt for ignition purposes.

More boost isnt always more power, especially if you are knocking and your ignition is dropping heavily.

You should be logging your runs when changing maps to see if they are benefiting you or not. Pay close attention to your ignition values and if they are decreasing with -3 increments that means you are knocking and the tune is too aggressive.

You also need to pay attention to intake air temps and any boost oscillation.
