I just purchased and installed LCI tail lights for my e92. However, when I installed the lights I didn't pay attention and forgot how the previous lights were set.

The tail lights are screwed pretty tight and I lined them up to the body line and made sure the gaps are correct.

However, when you open the trunk there is a gap between the body and the tail lights. This area is where the water goes down from underneath the back windshield to the back of the car.

Could you take a look at your own cars and let me know if there should be a gap?

I just checked mine. There is a slight gap similar to your pics. Although not as big.

Anyone else? Just a simple opening of the trunk and a quick check would help.

I tried to find pictures and look at videos but did not find anything that would answer my question.
