Left Turn Signal Malfunction

I got this error today and saw that the bulb was out. I removed the bulb and it looked fine so I put it back in place then it started working again. Any idea what happened?

I hope it did not look something like this.

It happened to me a few days ago while I was driving. Front LH signal malfunctioned out of no where. The LH rear continued to work but "blink fast". However after 10mins of continued driving, the error went away and the signals returned normal.

I would also like to know whats going on
