So long 335
Im sending my car back early because a MINT 05 e46 m3 was traded in this week and i decided to pick it up, when I say MINT I mean it, not a single scratch and leather interior is BRAND NEW. came with valentine radar fully installed in the rear view mirror and a dice bluetooth/ ipod connection.
If anyone in central jersey area can help me remove my jb3 before i bring the car back on friday id greatly appreciate it.. please let me know asap before I have to bring it somewhere and pay to get it out because Im clearly out of money from this buy and the minor parts ive already purchased for it.. I know it may be a downgrade but i couldnt pass the vert up for summer time.. |

I wanted the 335i vert but im broke as a joke..I just turned 21 here guys...now with this e46 I can actually drive a sweet car and save some money at the same time, until something breaks...thats the worst part now, no maintenance or warranty

congrats, youll enjoy it..maybe just learn to budget your money correctly, i know its hard for a 21 yr old to believe but theyre are more pressing issues/things than a car to worry about. stock for stock itll run circles around the 35 around a track..until something breaks intake/vanos/smg related..i saw a lot of those issues..

i say that because ive driven the hell out of both models on a roadcourse and the m3 holds its ground from the factory, its got better brakes, better suspension, better steering ratio, stronger engine, and overall a solid performer. whereas to meet consistent performance, the 335 needs to at least have the zsp package or coilovers, big brakes (rotors or pads, bbk), a LSD, bushings, etc, etc. i see people runnin the 335 stock and itll go around but its not going to hold ground against anything built to be driven aggressively and is plagued by the known problems we all have, its always a tradeoff of NVH. don't get me wrong i plan to track my xi but i know it will take me a lot more of an investment than buying an 02 or 03 e46 and converting it into a track use only car.

![]() im comparing stock to stock, a 335i without any sport options, or just the sport package and what it would take the 335i to meet the consistent performance of an M car. the 335i rolls and squats like a pig whereas the e46 m3 is much more composed in those regards as IT WAS DESIGNED TO DO, i dont know your experience or driving ability so it is subjective..whichever way you take it, the M cars are built better and go around a track much faster and confidently. AS for NVH i was trying to offer that any track car is a tradeoff for Increased NVH, of course the e9x has less in every regard, its subdued. i dont want to start a non-m VS M battle, i've owned M models and currently own a Non-M e92x and its apparent what each is good for, lol-but its reality. we all don't track our cars nor are most of us good enough to ever see the potential limits of the chassis. OP got a great deal on this and hope it works out for him, cheers..

yeah no we both agree on the op having a fantastic car. im impressed with the e46 anyway, stock for stock, yes the e9x is piggier, but i doubt its slower. over laps, yeah, i could see the e46 not giving as much. but hey it is what it is.
