Timmayfest Caravan: Cleveland to Columbus

I've decided to put together a caravan for everyone in the Cleveland/Akron area that is going to Timmayfest on Saturday, June 9th. Everyone is more than welcome to join.

Here are the plans: On Saturday, we will meet up at the Westfield SouthPark mall parking lot (in Strongsville right on Royalton Road (Route 82) just off of 71) at 7:00am. At 7:30am, we will head south on 71.

To everyone that lives farther south or in Akron: Plan to meet up at the TA Travel Center in Lodi right off 71 around 7:30 am. We plan on leaving Strongsville at 7:30am so that gives you guys some time to get there. We'll make a pit stop, meet up with you guys and head down to Columbus!

Just to be clear, everyone in the Cleveland area that wants to caravan down, be at the Westfield SouthPark mall parking lot in Strongsville at 7:00am. Everyone that is in the Akron area or farther south, be at the TA Travel Center in Lodi at 7:30am.

If you have any questions, you can ask me via this thread, pm or email. Email will probably will be the fastest because I have my phone on me at all times.

dsaadeh0304@gmail.com

Let me know if you plan on joining the caravan so I can add your name to the list!

David,

I recommend moving the schedule up half an hour. Last year we showed up at like 9:45 and were one of the last caravans at Timmayfest. Parking is essentially grouped, so E90s are with others (I took one of the last spots last year), M5s with others, etc. But, it is first come first serve, and it sucks to be in the spillover section.

Plus when you say you wanna leave by 8am, it'll end up being like 15 minutes late at least.

Let's meet at 7am at the Westfield Southpark Mall lot, and 7:30am at the TA Travel Center in Lodi. I know it's early, but it's literally one Saturday every year. And, this gives people enough time to fuel up, introduce one another, and take some pics. Don't bitch about it, just man up for one Saturday morning.

If you don't want to be left out when the caravan leaves, email David and/or PM me here with your name, where you'll be coming from, and your cell phone #.

If you have walkie-talkies, bring them, if not, no worries as I'm sure some of us have extas. I'll be bringing two. We don't necessarily need them, but it's helpful if at least the leader (with a radar detector) and tailer have one, along with a couple in the middle of the group.

Good call! I changed the times on all the boards including this one. Plus, as the caravan gets larger, we will need more time for everything. We have about 6 people from Ohiobimmers that are coming. That's pretty good for only the first 12 hours. Lol

If want fliers you can print and hand out to your friends, family, strangers with Bimmers, use the one attached. Make sure you tell them about the caravan incase they are interested. I'll have a stack of these to hand out to people at the C&C events here.

I can print them for free in color at work. So, let me know how many you want, and I can bring them to you on 5/5 at C&C. I was gonna print 2 per page and then use a paper cutter to make them half a sheet each.

I'd say just print out enough for C&C on 5/5, 5/19 and 6/2. I'll print out a few just in case if I see any cars local.

Any idea where all of us e90s are parking. Hopefully we can find some shade.

How did it work last year if we needed relief from the sun.

Did you just go into quaker steak and cool down in there.

Supposed to be 88*F.
