Car needs a sever detailing...
I went for a drive 2 weeks ago to western PA. Long story short my front bumper is a caked on bug covered mess. I just got finished washing the car for the 3rd time this week and I cant get any of the bugs or just general gunk off . Any ideas what to do?

Yeah, I used so much of the stuff, and it made the bugs show more than they did...

Dude, Its really easy to clay. Takes seconds to do. Go buy the mother's clay and do it yourself.

if you go to www.detailedimage.com they have a special pad for cleaning bugs and crap. that with a combo of bug and tar remover does the trick.

I'm running out to a deck party, but being an ex pro-detailer of low end and very high end cars, I got a very simple and easy way to get the bugs off without hurting your paint's finish......I'll write more later.

Don't use that bug block on the paint.
Try a good bug & tar remover + a pressure washer, then give the car another good wash, then clay the rest of the bugs off. |

I have no access to a pressure wash though, but can you suggest the other products?

Its an amazing thing, whats great about living where I do is, even after an hour and 30 min drive on the freeway, my front bumper is virtually spotless, with maybe 2 or 3 bugs caught on it..
Now in Florida, a 10 minute drive on the freeway will have your bumper looking black. Use some clay, I HIGHLY doubt it's THAT stuck/embedded into your paint, unless you waited a month to wash it. |
