Exhaust Fumes/Smoke coming bank 1 turbos.
Took my car into the shop and when diagnosing we noticed black soot around the bolts on turbo bank 1. When you rev you'll see some smoke come from the engine compartment. Wasn't able to get a good look since everything is crammed in but we're thinking cracked gasket.
Wanted to see if anyone can chime in shed some knowledge or experience with this sort of issue. Last edited by mpower3o2; 04-30-2012 at 12:59 PM.. |

Turbos are only covered 4/50. The good news is if it's just a turbo that went south, the part is cheap (labor is another story). It may also be a good time to get some upgraded twins But if you want to be sure your engine doesn't have damage, do a compression / leakdown test.
