Exhaust Fumes/Smoke coming bank 1 turbos.

Took my car into the shop and when diagnosing we noticed black soot around the bolts on turbo bank 1. When you rev you'll see some smoke come from the engine compartment. Wasn't able to get a good look since everything is crammed in but we're thinking cracked gasket.

Wanted to see if anyone can chime in shed some knowledge or experience with this sort of issue.

As long as you have no mods, it's probably covered by the 10 yr/ 120K turbo warranty.

Have a site where it shows the warranty information?

the turbos are not 10/120. The HPFP is.

Turbos are only covered 4/50. The good news is if it's just a turbo that went south, the part is cheap (labor is another story). It may also be a good time to get some upgraded twins

But if you want to be sure your engine doesn't have damage, do a compression / leakdown test.
