Rim Repair
I searched and didnt come up with anything. I was driving Saturday night and hit this ridiculous hole in the road that went all the way across the street.
Wheel let all the air out, switched it and got home...woke up in the morning and checked the wheel to find out the inside lip has a slight bend outwards. Looks as if you could just take a hammer to it and straighten it back out. No damage at all to the tire that I can see. I am thinking it pulled the rim back in that one spot and broke the seal of the tire and that's where all of the air came out. I pray the tire is fine seeing that they are about 4 months old. Just curious if anybody knows a good reliable place where they will help me out with this around the Metro Detroit area. Thank you |

Try www.awrsm.com
I've not used them, but I know people who have and were pleased with the results. They can travel to your location and work from their truck. They can do work with the tire on as well (although the actual job itself may determine that). They are out of Madison Heights.

I think it depends on the amount of work involved. If no painting is needed, and just bending back, it might be inexpensive. I'd call them and ask, they should be able to give you a range over the phone.

The places I used were around $125. If you have a stock wheel, might be cheaper to find a single spare. Cracked wheels that have been heated/welded aren't as strong.
