Well after three M3's and an M5 I made the switch to the more mundane. During extensive negotiations with the wife and my desire to buy a Factory Five Cobra we reached a compromise on the daily driver.

Kudos! Nice options .... I wimped out on NAV myself but I think it looks much better in the E90 than F30.

Welcome! Very nice purchase. And don't worry, the diesel might get 31 mpg combined but that doesn't necessarily mean it'll be mundane. Even stock its 425 lbs of twist should put a big grin on your face, and a JBD tune will satisfy any additional power cravings.

Should of mentioned...I am not new to oil burners as we have a X5 35d that is JBD'd.

Would love to get a side oiler 427...we'll see.

Thanks! I am super-stoked! Couple of upgrades I already have in mind:

1. LED corona lights (to match the X5!)
2. Stereo upgrade. Debating on what to do. The car has the standard hifi which I hear isn't really that good. We'll see when I drive the car back from San Fran (>San Diego).
3. Smoke lenses

I have a 2011 335d I bought used a month ago. Mine has the BASE stereo which is worse than most, if not all, of the rental cars I've driven recently (Chevy Cruz, Mazda CX7, etc) which is pretty bad.

Mid-May I am spending a chunk of change to go to Portland and get a MusicarNW Level 2 plus P-DSP install....I'm VERY excited about that change...

Did you buy at Crevier? Yours looks like one of three on the West coast that met my criteria two weeks ago. If it's the same car, it was almost mine. Ive got one on its way to Oregon right now from Chico instead. I hope you enjoy your new car.

Ended up not buying it. Went to look at the car and it had a lot of scratches all over. Plus it was a dealer loaner. No thanks. Back to hunting for a car...

The more I hear people talk about how happy they are with the Diesels and specially after ECu upgrades, the more Im itching for a switch myself.

OP, great color combo on the D, The factory % cobra; is that a kit you can put together yourself? if so, sounds like a great weekend proyect.

Both machines are sure to bring some serious fun time at the wheel. Congrats!

I am either going to buy a built one or have a shop build one for me. My life is too hectic to start a big project like that. I just wanna drive!

So i am sitting at dealer waiting to go to finance. Jezzuz what a pain.

And here she is! 1800 miles on her. In service date of 2/2012 so lots of warranty left. It's basically a new car.

Thanks! My wife is going to drive it about 70% of the time but I love it. Averaged 32mpg on the way back from Los Angeles yesterday. Far cry from the 13mpg I averaged in my M5.
