Whats in your n54 emergency roadside kit?
So after my misfire debacle on cylinder 3, I put together a roadside kit if I am ever far away from home.
Included: 1 spare e36 m3 DSII spare tire 1 coil 1 spark plug 1 fuel injector 1 jack 1 spark plug tool 1 quart of oem oil 1 set of tools to remove and replace everything A bunch of rags Am I being overly paranoid? |

If i am far away and misfire like crazy then I can easily (not on the freeway of course...just pull off at a nearest exit and find a safe spot.) swap out the coil, spark, and injector. After doing it the first time they are easy. I remember an e46 m3 guy asking me on a Sunday if I knew anywhere he could get a coil. I told him no and it got me thinking... printed out the jb4 code list too so can read codes

That looks like my buddies Audi, except it just had coilpacks.
Only roadside I have is a can of fix o flat. Problem with injectors as a spare is you need to code them, no? You should add a fire extinguisher to the list. |

I also have a golf iron in the trunk (crazy crackhead story) Judging by the reaction I guess I am overly paranoid! haha I drove for a week on an un-coded injector and no issues... so at least he uncoded one will get me home.

i know some people who always have all the necessary tools to uninstall a tune, just in case the car breaks down, and needs to be towed to the dealer.
Apart from that, flashlight, 2 fixflat cans and an air compressor.

Phone and hope I have signal... I also have an air compressor and a couple of other tools in case of a flat tire.
