Aftermarket Angel Eyes...

I found many threads reference aftermaket Angel Eyes but it seems opinions are like butt holes, every has got one.

But if the options were just the ones from Turnersports or BMS, which one would you use? Let me put it this way. Which AE would you recommend in the $150 range?

I am looking for ones that won't throw error codes and simply involved unplugging the OEM ones and plugging the aftermarket ones in.

Thanks in advance.

BTW, my vehicle is a 2007 335i.

E90 or E92?

Your best options are LUX or Mtec depending on what you have...however both are $200+.

In my opinion, I'd leave them stock then.

Most AE's tend to be the same and unevenly lit, not being worth the money.

Are you referring to ones at this price range?

Honestly in my opinion, you'll get the same brightness in angel eyes with a $15 set of GP Thunders than with a $150 set of AE's. Most guys shell out the extra money and get LUX or Mtec. Or OSS...but that's a whole new ball game.

My BMS $90 halos for my 08 e90 work like a champ. They plug right in, work, don't throw codes, are even in brightness.

Don't listen to these guys saying spend $300 on Mtech or LUX or leave them stock. PM me and I'll send you pix of mine if you want.

Or just post the pictures here and prove us wrong...

BTW, are they close in brightness as OEM?

OP, go into the lighting section and do some research. You'll get the same responses.

I bought my car a year before I was even on these forums, and I bought my BMS halos shortly after I bought my car. As I said, I didnt pay much compared. I dont know why people hate on them so much. They are the dual LED version.

That is an iphone pic in the daytime and in the shade. Like I said before, they were a direct replacement for $90 that throw no codes and work. I dont know how they compare in brightness to the Mtech or LUX, but there are bright enough for me and they are all 4 equal in brightness. Im not trying to use them to drive with. Just want even white rings. Rather have even rings than 2 bright and 2 dull.

I really like the look of those BMS AEs... For $90, I think it's a great deal, especially if it throws no codes and it's a simple plug in. Looks uniformed to me, though it has somewhat of a greenish tint but that could be the iPhone camera though. Will they lit up as usual, by having the light switch on AUTO?

They light up just the same as normal. I hit unlock on the fob and they light up, they light up on auto. I havent got time to get my car coded, but Im gonna get them to be the DRLs, since I have no DRLs activated at all currently.

Let's be clear. CUTiger has pre-lci e90, which will be evenly lit by almost anything. OP has e92, which will have a brighter inner ring with many aftermarket LED solutions.

Isn't my 2007 E92 also pre-LCI?
