09 335xi coupe Wheels Tires
Hi, First time poster.
I've got a 2009 335 x-drive coupe with KWV1 coil overs with rear fenders rolled. I'm looking to put on a set of 19" rims in silver/black but want to make sure that the rims/tires don't rub. I would like to run a square set of 19x9 bremmer BR05 all around but tirerack.com is saying that 19x9 with 34mm offset will rub in the front. Any experience running a square setup? I have a set of 4 245/35R19 tires I'd like to run on a set of new rims...any ideas on which set of rims I should be looking at to prevent rubbing etc? If I run a staggered VMR rim setup, can I still use the above tires without any harm to the x-drive system? Thanks! |

IIRC someone is running 265's in front...but don't quote me on that.
You can run staggered wheels with square tires without any harm to the x-drive system. Many people run a staggered wheel and tire setup.

I run a staggered setup on my 08 e92 335xi. I'm running VMR v710s 19x8.5 rim and 235/35/19 tires up front and a 19x9.5 rim and 265/30/19 tires in the rear. No fender roll and no rubbing. I don't have it lowered yet but I plan on getting KW V1s in the not too distant future. The ride height on the xi is brutal.
Hit up the wheels and tires section of the forum. http://www.e90post.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=12 You input a tire setup and see how many millimeters you loose on the strut side and how much it will extend on the outside. As long as you stay within 1% difference you'll be fine with the xdrive. |
