Anyone running Re-11's

Wondering if any of you guys putting down 400whp+ are running the re-11's? If so any thoughts on how they hookup in daily street conditions?

Went between these and neova ad08s for this summer. Ended up going with the neova cause of the killer tread pattern. I'd imagine they would be great, can't get much better when it comes to a street tire.

Yeah for me it came down to ad08 vs. re-11 vs. r888. R888's seem like they would wear too fast and the ad08's have a wide tread width and at my ride height I'd be rubbing like crazy so that leaves me with the re-11's. Even the re-11's are a bit wide so I may have to make some adjustments to get a 275 to work.

I may have to downsize the tire and run either the ad08 or re-11 in a 245 width, or I'm going to have to increase the ride height. Downsizing the tires defeats the purpose of traction, but oddly enough the tread width of the ad08's in a 245 is the same as most 265's haha.

I'm rubbing with 265 30 19 Advans on Kws even after a fender roll.. Going to raise my rear a tad and see if that helps. It's fine if I'm alone but even a single passenger sets it over the edge. Knew they were wide but not like this

AD08 run HUGE, to put things into perspective a 265 ad08 still has more tread width than a 285 hankook and almost the same as the 295. Those tires are MASSIVE and simply amazing haha.

Both RE11s and AD08s are great tires. Both have pros and cons. R888 shouldn't even be in this conversation - not a street tire. Drive a day on our city roads on R888 and you will leave pieces of rubber all over.

In terms of your question, will it be good enough for 400whp? Really depends on what you are doing, I highly doubt you are utilizing even half of that on a daily bases. So for a daily driver, I would say they are perfectly fine.

For drag racing, probably better to go to a compound tire.
For circuit racing, they are both ok for the occasional lap day. Both have great traction once warmed up.

The biggest advantage of RE11 compared to AD08 is road noise....RE11's are loud, but AD08 are extremely loud - to a point that it can get annoying.

Yeah the r888's are a diff story, mainly looking into re-11's as a daily setup not really for track. I don't street race so I don't care for having the stickiest tire, but I drive on empty quiet roads so every now and then I like to put the foot down a bit from a stop light or roll down the windows and hear the car rev through first and second gear. Now the only problem is I either get traction intervention or nasty wheel spin which ruins the fun. I'm guessing the re-11's should provide acceptable grip without compromising much in daily drivability?

Was leaning towards re-11 over ad08 since you won't feel the dry traction difference unless you are pushing the limits which I won't be on the streets, but the re-11's are superior in rainy conditions which is a huge + for daily. They seem to have acceptable ride quality as well without been hugely oversized.

Re-11's didn't seem too loud to me in the past, definitely WAY quieter than something like KDW's and since you said the re-11's are a lot quieter than AD08 that pretty much seals the deal for me.

Thanks for the input and help, makes the decision a lot easier.

Had RE11's on my 335i and loved them. I like the overall performance, look, etc... from these tires. I had a tuned 335i and did occasional track sessions and can't complain about them.

I opted for them again for the A4 Avant. So I might be bias!!!

I had them on my 19"230 style wheels and loved them. I did find though that with moist/colder conditions there was a bit of slip under cornering. Otherwise amazing tires and I didn't find them loud at all.

I'm now running the Pirelli's on my 19" 269's and love them too. These seem to be just as great looking, as quiet, but a bit stickier.

Enjoy OP
