grill removal
i tried taking my grill off and im having problems with the top ones on the e90
the torx screw on one of them spin but does not want to come out. any suggestions. im talking about the top grill piece. |

try pressing down on the bonnet part of the grill while unscrewing the torx screw, and really pushing up while unscrewing the torx screw... does that make sense? you need to get the threads to catch, otherwise the screw is just spinning in the hole. or try angling the screw slightly (lateral pressure) while unscrewing, again in an effort to get the threads to catch. GL

tried everything except drilling it out. no black grilles for me i guess. i took it into the dealer and told them it wouldnt come loose and on the service reciept they put : Why does this need to be removed? ... i still think they should fix it and replace it

Look at the DIY. I did my e90 325i, all I did was pull straight out and it came out with no problems. No screws were involved.

The OP refers to the top piece (which are hold by them torx screws), not the bottom ones.
