[Hou*E92]

I just had the BMW Performance Exhaust installed on my 2011 E92 328i. While everything was being cut and clamped, I had a look at the parts as they came off and noticed that the stock exhaust was made in Germany and stamped with the name "Eberspächer." I was a bit surprised to find that the BMW PE is made in the UK. This post over at a 1-series forum seems to indicate the exhaust (at least for the 1er) is actually made by John Cooper Works (e.g. MINI) for BMW! Interesting to say the least, I had no idea. Anyone else notice this or have any more info?

So our German cars are now speaking with a British accent. That's not necessarily a bad thing, the first thing I thought of when I drove off with the top down after having my PE installed was that the note was reminiscent of an old E- Type or big Healy. Probably just in my head. Either way, gotta love that classic inline 6 growl.
