I find it much better driving off with a good portion of throttle without the chirp! Before i had a 130i and sometimes it was a bit embaressing...

I'm AT, but I do more than chirp

This morning I laid down a nice 10ft set of strips from all 4 tires testing out e85 mix + meth.

Kevo,

Why are u posting in this thread? If YOU dont care, dont post and keep it moving. I am not sure if you are trying to look like a badass or just being a str8 d1ck.

But just bc you dont care about chirping your tires does not mean that I dont care.

I have a boring auto now so 2nd doesn't chirp (doesn't shift hard enough to do it at least). When I had my STI, I would spin all 4 wheels into 2nd pretty easily... I don't see why it would be much different for an xi... especially since the 335 has more TQ.

I wondered the same thing. I had an integra before and that thing had No Power, but it chirped pretty loud. lol

I was messing around this morning, on older pavement that doesn't give much traction I spun 1st all the way to the limiter but even on a clean run the shift into 2nd had no chirp.

I'll have to try again after I go FBO + Meth and have the seats out, when I took the seats out before the 1st gear spinning was worse so at full power an AT xi may be able to chirp second gear

More interesting to me though is trying to get just enough wheelspin in 1st to get full power, but no so much that it bumps the rev limiter. Might be time for some stickier summer rubber...

Do you hold down DTC for just 3 seconds or fully disable (5 sec)?

Fully disable, the issue for me is with all 4 wheels going the car tends to kick the rear out just a bit and DSC ruins the fun. Doesn't happen all the time, but it's just habit now that I hold it down all the way.

Tire Chirp means you're losing traction. I'm not sure why you're attracted to the sound, but in an AWD car, the entire point is to NOT lose traction.

I could chirp the tires, but I'd rather not abuse my clutch enough to do it. If you must though, hit the traction button twice (once to turn on DTC, the other to deactivate DSC)

You're 6MT right?....next time you're cruising along at 75-85mph downshift into 2nd and enjoy the chirp.

It's because you sound adolescent when you post threads like this.

I guess the price floor has really fallen out on these cars.......

You too huh? On certain types of pavement, I'm actually having some traction issues now when brake boosting! lol
FBO + E85 mix + meth = Win
