Blown turbo, what should i do?

So i posted a post on 1addicts forum and got no response or anything. i have a 135i m sport with a vishnu computer and recently i started to hear a very loud wining noise coming from the front right of the car. i continued to drive without knowing that one of my turbos was a ticking time bomb.

The car a few days later did not boost what so ever, then i started to see a cloud of white smoke coming from my exhaust. I then just parked and left my car alone. I have been following the FFTEC/Vishnu kit and have gone to the point of actually calling vishnu and fftec to see if the turbo kit will fit my 135 and no luck no one knows....

Yesterday i took the liberty of removing both turbos myself after a blistering 5hrs i got both turbos out and a few pints of blood after cutting my hand up a few times ( what a pain).

Now i don't know what to do, only one turbo is bad i don't just want to get a new front turbo and install the rear old one back on. I also rather just install a better turbo all around i was thinking of just having a shop create me a custom manifold as there are none available to purchase -____- ..... Shiv needs to stop slacking and post up pricing for this kit.

I also had a question in mind as i don't know much about the n52 platform.. If i had one bad turbo out of the two and its the front one.. why was my car still not boosting ?? what can cause a problem like mine ? i do drive my car very hard is this a car thats not meant for me? My previous cars have been 07 s2000 and a 93 single turbo supra

don't mind the dirty car

no offense man, but why did you rip out your turbo's yourself? you basically have a 3200 lb paper weight right now.

i'd either contact shiv and see if he'd send you a single turbo kit (he's done so for a member or 2 so far), buy replacement stock turbo's from tischer ($500 each or so), or try and procure upgraded twins (rb turbo, asr, etc).

is your car under warranty still? 2009 should be, unless you're over 50k miles. i think removing your turbo's may have voided any chance you'd have at warranty replacement anyways, just curious.

I emailed rob at vishnu and he placed me on the list of 30 od something other cars. reason they probably have not replied to me is because they are working hard on the 335 platform no one knows if it will fit the 135 as the nose is much shorter than the 335.

Please don't remind me its a paper weight hahaha i don't want to jump the gun and get RBs then shiv lets us know it will fit and release pricing..

And no im not under warranty -_____- This blows.....

Get a used turbo (would be around the 200$ range) and when single fitment is verified on the 135, go single and have a SERIOUSLY fast 135.

I would contact themyst or onebadmofo, there both in NY and have RB turbos. That way you can get an idea of they power they produce, and if it will be enough.

If you can afford for the car to just sit, get some RBs. If you can't, then just go buy some used ones. Waiting on a single snail is a bit unrealistic.

I maybe mistaken but doesnt the proceded have an NA map? Meaning you can just shut the turbos off and order some upgraded twins, pay the core charge, install the new ones, and send in your cores when you get the new twins? Again.. im probably wrong...

you are correct, but the non aspirated map is not meant for extended periods of driving.

That may be possible, but the problem is he already took the turbos off so he might as well send them off now then re install blown turbos to run an NA map.

Wow, that sucks... but considering you have the opportunity to go single, I would wait. Go buy a cheap Honda civic to get you from point A to point B... Then save your money because when the day comes you have all the parts you need to put this car back together it will be one sick little 10s ride.

Yup. These people saying wait for a single must be high on something. Buy RBs which I think may even be in stock or about to (if you even want upgrades) or just grab a used one and call it a day.

Creminz had two for sale I think see if he still does.

I would go ahead and upgrade to RB turbos. Espsically since you pulled them yourself.

If your hearts set on the single-turbo set up, just wait for Vishnu/HPF to release a kit (have you even tried contacting HPF?) and buy a replacement OEM turbo. If you just want more power, get some RB's.
