My new to me 2008 328i has the "Professional Stereo" in it. I play mp3 CDs, and it will remember which track was playing and start where it left off when I start the car up, but the volume gets reset, and it always "forgets" that it was in random play mode. Is there any way to make it remember those settings?

The volume getting reset is actually a feature it's so you can turn off your car with the music up and not have it blasting when you turn it on. As for your other question, sorry I can't help you. Who even uses cd's anymore?

Well, I do, since my car doesn't have the USB input, and I don't want to be fumbling around with an mp3 player plugged into the AUX in.

Well, my car doesn't start the track where it left off, it just remembers which track was last played, but it restarts it from the beginning every time.
