iPhone Bluetooth sucks when talking
My previous phone before my iPhone was a Motorola E815. The phone call quality on my iPhone in my e90 over Bluetooth is much worse. It's worse to the point that everyone is asking me on the other end about the poor quality.
Is anyone else experience poor quality when making phone calls using Bluetooth in their e90 with an iPhone?? FYI, on the plus side, names now show up with the right tag. For example... Motorola E815 John Doe 703-555-4321 John Doe 703-555-1212 Jonn Doe 703-555-9876 Apple iPhone John Doe (Mobile) 703-555-4321 John Doe (Home) 703-555-1212 John Doe (Work) 703-555-9876

Actually, it's been fine on my 335i coupe. I've found the iPhone to be 100% compatible and the sound quality to be as good as my Sprint Moto Q.

The more I read stuff like this, the more I realize I must have lucked out with how well my Blackberry phone syncs up -- the tags behind the names work correctly, just as you describe, with my BB. Also, the sound quality is even better through the car than using the actual phone (as anyone with a BB can attest). I just figured all phones worked just as well.

My problem in quality is only right when I connect a call. For the first 10 seconds or so, I can't hear the person on the other side. Then it finally locks in and works fine after that. Its driving me insane, because every conversation I have begins with "hello? hello? hello? hello?" I will try turning off the wifi to see if that helps. If anyone else is experiencing this or has a fix, let me know. Otherwise, I guess I will be calling Apple...and we all know how that goes...
Thanks for the help. |

The wifi turn-off fixed the cutting out problem for me too. I recommend that everyone who is having to inconveniently disable wifi when they get in the car send feedback to Apple. I already did so, and if enough people complain, maybe they will try to fix it through software adjustments like we have been talking about. Below is the link.
