Anyone know what this actually is? I recently has oil change and inspection done but when I turn the car on I get the big red exclamation point which indicates some type of service is due. In the service section it shows a car with a double s on the front hood and indicates this is needed 6/12. The manual says this is the roadworthiness test. Is this just something BMW does yearly when under warranty? Now that I don't have the warranty (2007 model) is this something that I can just have cleared or is it necessary? If it can be cleared any reccomendations on who can clear it (I live in queens )

I think that double s is inspection - if it's not due yet then set it for when it is

Just had inspection done as it was due, maybe they did not reset?Can I do myself?

scroll to the double S and just hold the BC button for a few seconds
