Imagine a hole in a straw. Wouldn't matter a hole is a hole. A good boost leak will throw a CEL after 4 second of wide open throttle.

Nope... the higher the boost the bigger the leak is going to be.

Depending on the mileage you can have several problem areas. Usually on cars with over 50K really 75K+ you want to start changing vacuum lines. Overtime the stock DV weaken so you may want to replace or upgrade those. They can fail sooner.

Other times it's as simple as a connection at the intercooler or throttle body or inbetween not being tight enough or sealing correctly.

Only way to tell is have the system pressure tested.

I dont think your problem is a boost leak, especially with no codes.

Which vacuum lines you talkin?? The ones that go to the pressure converters that connect to wastegate?? You could be right the car had 45000kms which isn't much but it sat for a year with the hood off which wouldn't help those lines!..,?
