Permanent DRL's possible?

Just keep running into little things trying to get a vehicle to pass inspection.
I've got a 2007 BMW wagon with iDrive that has the option to turn the daytime running lights off/on. To pass, these have to be permanently on, no option to turn off.

Anyone know if this is possible to code? Or a module that can be installed to keep them on?

Any other options? Easiest and quickest the best as I hope to have this clear by the weekend.

One last hurdle and I should finally be good to go.

you could wire a relay into your car with a switch that plugs directly into a fuse in the fuse box that turns on when your car turns on
sounds complicated but it works

You can have it coded to have them on permanently. No need to relays and wiring harness.
Question, why not just turn them on in the iDrive and not touch it after that? The inspectors found out that you are able to turn em on and off?

Hopefully you have a local coder that can help you out in this situation, otherwise the dealership should be able to do it (for a nice cost that is)
