Question Polish+wax residue

What is the best way to clean wax and polish residue on the rubber weather strips and the sunroof edge?
I always tape all those spots but little residue still present here and there for whatever reason. Thank you in advance

Mild IPA solution, DG wax eraser, or try some peanut butter. Treat the seals after with a protectant.

... greetings ... had very good luck with "Meguiar’s Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner/Conditioner #40" ... if in a hurry available at your friendly advanced auto zone ... also use a tooth brush!

I used a lot of 303 aerospace cleaner
Wiping off carefully

Diminishing returns on residue left on MF towel will show progress

Could use BMW solvent , came with my adhesive kit

Solvent is similar to an adhesive or wax remover

I treat my weatherstrips with krytox
After. Bought on amazon

Bmw used to suggest gummiplege

I found some at a BMW dealer

I believe krytox is superior
For hard rubber above door

Cleaning felt strip with a removal solvent
To ensure its fuzziness

Gummipledge us really good for soft rubber around door and frame

Lastly I vinylex the trim
Mine is shadow line trim

Yep old school as it comes, been using that since the 70's. It works on trim to remove residue that has not been baked in.
The other stuff works really well too even baked on residue.
Make sure you treat your trim and seals afterwards, Gummi pflege is my choice.

I just did mine with APC and a stiff detail brush + MF towel and it worked! I have black sunroof trim again.

An old toothbrush will get in some of those cracks too.
