WTB: AW E92
*EDIT* - thanks guys I found the car that I wanted. I bought it this week, hoping to have it home soon.
Hi guys I'm new to E90post.com. I've been looking through this forum as well as autotrader.ca for an AW E92 but I haven't had much luck. I posted a WTB ad on kijiji and I've emailed a few people on kijiji and autotrader but some have not replied and others that have replied to my WTB have been lacking on the communication and has yet to email more pictures and info about the car the have for sale. If you know of anyone who is selling a AW E92 please let me know. Must have less than 80,000km (give or take by a few k) and my budget is $30k - $32k. Thanks. With my job I don't have time to travel to go look at the car. Thought about asking a friend to go check some out for me but decided I wouldn't buy a car without checking it out myself first.

I've been eyeing this one for a bit now and I think it might be worth breaking the budget for.
What do you guys think? http://www.autotrader.ca/a/BMW/M/MON...0411103513755/ |

You don't have to travel (sales listings are online, thank the internet) and there are third party inspectors you can arrange to check out a car (for a fee) who are probably more knowledgeable than you or your friend

Like I said earlier I wouldn't fork up 30+ k on something that I have not seen myself personally. Everyone has there own preferences on how to buy cars and mine just happens to be that I have to see it, drive, and like it before committing to buy. For each his own I guess.

Of course I am willing to stretch my budget for an M3 over a 335i. If I can get an M3 that's is in as nice of a shape as the 335 and with decent mileage on it for an extra 5k than why not? If I were buying a brand new car from the dealership than I will buy it without driving it first obviously. The reason why I have that budget is because I am paying for the car straight up with no loans so I don't have to owe anything on it. Thanks I hope I find one soon.

Second, what I suggested was looking south of the border and getting an independent third party to inspect the vehicle. Of course they know more than you because that is what they do for a living and there are companies out there that do this for a fee. Once you are satisfied with the condition of the vehicle, you could negotiate price, deal terms (like write in a condition that you have a right of refusal if condition of vehicle isn't as described and as you understood it to be) and fly down there and pick it up and drive it back. I see you are paying cash. Buying in the US would be EVEN MORE FAVORABLE! |

The price difference that I was willing to break my budget for is 5k only because its an M3. So by you saying that I am not genuine about what I can "actually spend" is wrong. My budget is what I am WILLING to spend. Last edited by godzllla85; 06-14-2012 at 06:15 PM.. |
