JB4 dyno

Got to do some FREE pulls on a dynapack today at south bay BMW. My mods are VRSF downpipes, gutted secondary cats with stock exhaust, DCI and 40/60 blend of e85 and 91 pump gas. The car has a manual transmission.

I'm on the latest 6/10/12 JB4 firmware. Map 5 is nuts....

Map 5: 424 whp / 473 wtq
Map 0: 308 whp / 312 wtq

As far as the accuracy of the dynapack vs. dynajet, another car dynoed on a dynajet previously and was within 1 horsepower of that dyno on the dynapack today. So they are very accurate.

Pretty good delta.
The dynapack is known to read a bit higher than dynojets.

Nice numbers.
Also agree that the new map 5 is insane. I just upgraded to the new firmware today on a completely stock car (other than tune obviously) and it feels considerably quicker than when I was running map 1.

Nice numbers! I have almost the same car picture of mine last week.

Only difference is I have an ams exhaust and I put down 430/~500.

this...if someone was within 1hp of a dynojet reading, it was a very happy dynojet

My basline of 308whp is pretty accurate if you consider I'm fully catless. Subtract 25 hp from the dp and another 5 from the catless mid pipes and your at 278whp. I think that's pretty normal for a stock n54.

I dynoed my car on a dynojet when it was stock and I put down 272whp/290wtq. So at most the dynapack is reading 5-6whp high.

I've been on e85 for about 3 months. 49k miles on the car / 45k miles tuned. The original clutch is holding up fine, but I know my days are numbered.

You would have gotten less pushback if you had said Map 0 was modded. I took it as a baseline indicating a very high reading dyno

I hate to do this, but what rims are on your car?

I'm looking for that kind of style (albeit in flat black), but all of them seem to be in the $1500/ea range... I just can't justify spending that kind of money on them.

alufelgen cs7 - gunmetal (mine were powdercoated by alufelgen, but I think they just paint them now because it doesn't mention powdercoating on the link)
