Bluetooth quirk

Anyone have a problem with bluetooth keeping the car in radio ready mode even after pulling the key out of the slot? I thought I ended a call after pressing the phone button on the steering wheel. I got out of my car, leaving the phone behind, to drop a package, which just happened to contain the 2 CDVs I was sending to Zeckhausen, at the post office. I came back and my radio was blasting. The iDrive screen was still on and showing the call as active with the timer still counting up. I pressed the phone button on the steering wheel and terminated the call and the car immediately shut off. It was really wierd. I didn't notice that the screen was still on but I did hear the radio come back on after a couple seconds from closing the door. I just thought it was some idoit blasting their music . I wonder if the car would have stayed on indefinitely or at least until the phone died?
