Not sure what the problem is...
I turn my car on and everything seems to be working fine no CEL/SES, no codes. Everything checks out on the dash, but when i get on the road and try to accelerate it has a loss of power almost bogging down. or like it might be going into limp mode? Not sure what it could be. If it is the HPFP then its obviously covered under the recall.
and as for the car, I'm letting it sit right now before attempting to start it up and drive again. It's a 2007 E92 335i and all it has is a JB4,DCI and Muffler delete. any opinions or advice? |

Without codes, we're all guessing. With that being said, my car would sometimes feel like there was no power and would take forever to get up to speed. Every once in a while, I'd get strange jumps in my RPM's at start up; all this would happen and never throw any codes. One day I was driving home and hit the throttle in 6th gear under load and got this strange feeling like my clutch was slipping. I gave a bit more gas and then went into limp mode. I got it home and checked codes and sure enough, my HPFP went. I uninstalled my Cobb AP and took the car out and sure enough, under load I could replicate it. Took it to the dealership and had it replaced. It's been over a year with no issues since, fbo and tracking the car at least once a month.

Check to see how much coolant you have - replace my water pump and my hpfp about two weeks ago. Even if you don't show a code for hpfp, have your tech check the pressure.

Can you elaborate on what temperature was higher and also if you have coolant in your reservoir. You should really have the car checked out if its throwing codes and going into limp mode, you should also remove your tune and any other mods. |
