Feeler: Group Tune Day/Coding - September 8th
NOTE: This is just a feeler until we see if there is enough interest.
I have received a few requests here and there for a group tune day and so I would like to gauge everyone's interest all in one thread. We would need 8 cars total confirmed in order to host the day. If we get enough interest I will set it up and make a formal thread to finalize the date. Our next available date would be Saturday, September 8th so please let me know what your thoughts are and then we can move forward from there! What can we tune?
We can tune for bolt on modifications, meth kits, conservative tunes for racing use and more. Let me know if you have any questions specifically regarding your setup. As an added benefit of the day, member Andrey (formerly OneBadMofo) will be onsite coding cars if we can fill up this list! For more information on what he can do for you check out his thread here. Where: EFI Logics - 8 Sympaug Park Road Bethel, CT 06801 Contact: Phone - 203.748.1115 / Email – sales@efilogics.com When: Saturday, September 8th, 2012 starting at 9am Price: $400 per tune plus tax Please find the consolidated list of people interested below. If you would like to participate please copy and paste the current list into a new post and add your name. -Josh Last edited by EFI Logics; 06-24-2012 at 05:32 PM.. |

Only "proper way" to integrate meth w/ COBB is through an ATP tune. I love HP so I'm in
Josh -- I'm assuming it's gonna be $xxx (depending on how people) for 1 custom map? |

**Josh -- I'm not trying to take the words out of your mouth, but I just want to post what to expect if they join this GB for the ATP Map.
After speaking w/ Josh in another thread, what EFI is basically offering is a Group Buy on a custom AccessTunerPro COBB map. It will require that you have the COBB Accessport purchased for the Sept 8th tuning. I know that ATR just came out, but I'd like to have my first custom map made by a COBB instructed tuner, that way I have an "advanced template" (compared to an OTS map) to make a Race Gas/E85 Map for myself. The ATP tune will take into account a variety of variables, including:
The idea is that while the COBB OTS maps are very good, they are conservative so that it works on everyone's required mods. Obviously an aFe intake has a different efficiency then a Gruppe M or a BMS DCI; a Helix FMIC operates differently than an ETS, ER or Big Tom FMIC, etc. If you're also looking to have a "Track Map" made, you would just need to show up with the gas you plan on running (100 Oct/E85) and the tune will be tailored to maximize the performance provided by the higher octane. The idea is that like any other GB for a part, you'll be able to get an ATP Map made by EFI. ***I have no idea what this will cost or how map(s) EFI will allow in the group buy, but I'm sure Josh + EFI will be willing to address each participants specific requests. |

**If anyone wants race fuel, I can pick up 100 octane at a Sunoco before I make the trip. I have a 5 gallon jug, but if there are enough people I'll buy another jug to meet demand |

Interested to see what type of power EFI can squeeze out of a Protuned FBO/Meth car. Josh, just as a side note, you may want to reconsider the date. Bimmerstock (Glen Cove) was just announced as being on Sept 9, so I'm not sure people will be as willing to make the trip if they're planning to also attend the huge meet. Just a heads up

Good point, Zack. Thanks for the heads up. If everyone would prefer a later date that is completely fine. We are not opposed to hosting on another date that would work better for anyone participating. I will unfortunately not be able to attend Bimmerstock as I will be prepping for a NJMP track day, but that's a great show.
