Front and Rear Camber

Anyone have any experiences with camber kits for our cars? I have an e90 lowered on sonic tuning coilovers. I noticed that there are rear toe end links and upper strut mounts that are "camber kits" by kmac that turner sells, but it doesnt say how much it can adjusts too.

Any experience with groundcontrol vs kmac front camber kits?

or kmac rear and megan racing?

EDIT 5/28/2013

Time to bring this thread back up!

Now i have about a -2 degree camber in the rear (Negative camber only, my toe is fine) lowered on Sonic Tuning Coils. What can i do to compensate for this negative camber?

From what you guys have been saying, i should get rear toe arms such as
http://www.meganracing.com/product_d...=1412&catid=93

but the problem is my camber not my toe.

Now i found this
http://www.meganracing.com/product_d...=1436&catid=93

Will this "Megan Racing Rear Camber Kit" help my negative camber? it doesnt say how many degrees

hi there loc dog foeshizzle mynizzle... Im running ground control front plates to increase - camber. As for the rears theres enough oem adjustment to keep the toe in check.

The smaller stiffer bushing on the gc (street) plates will add extra cabin noise ya feel me? Ive put over 30k on them with no issues.

GC plates here no prob.

HP Autowerks toe bars rear - w/M3 camber arm, EZ adj & zero noise, they're a lighter, elegant, less bulk solution.

You should get a pair of adjustable rear toe arms if you're lower than stock ride height. The issue with our suspension design is that the rear toe will go too far out and there is not enough adjustment in the stock arms to fix that. I have the Rogue Engineering ones and like them. No problems.

Or if M3 rear camber arms installed, if memory serves.

I didn't attempt to use stock arms so really not an authority. Sure like the adjustment on my new HPA toe arms much better....much better all 'round.

Do you know if the ground control street plates will fit my sonic tuning coilovers?

These are really expensive compared to kmac, but must be worth it!

I used it on my FK coils, with a 14mm shock piston and 2.5ID. Measure your piston and ID of the coil. You can opt for the street version with no caster adjustment which is much cheaper.

Shock piston is the shinny part of the shock you see sliding up and down in and out. ID = inner diameter of the coil spring youll need to know for them to send you the right sized coil/spring perch.

Choose a camber kit that isolates the camber adjustment from the caster/toe adjustment. From memory, the kmac camber kits do not do this. Ground control or Vorschlag would be best bet. good luck !

I was always wondering this, I have an E92 328 that came with sports package but I lowered it on ST Coilovers and when I told the person to align my car that I wanted maximum negative camber in the rear. When he was done he told me -2.7 was the max for mines but my friends who has an E92 335 can go -3.5 which is the max on stock. Now I wonder why I can't go -3.5 camber without my toe going out of spec?

well then lol, -2 isnt very much and still within specs. the oem eccentric camber bolt can be used to bring the camber out some. You dont need aftermarket camber/toe arms to make any adjustments for your setup.

Well there are two eccentric bolts back there, they both affect camber and toe to some degree. But you are correct it should be no problem to back off to -1.5 or a bit less, on stock pieces, unless he's lowered it so far he has no susp. travel left. I do not have my alignment notes in front of me but IIRC on Koni + Eibach prokit it was not hard to get to -1.2 with proper toe-in. I did have to mess with both ecc. bolts a bit to get to that setting though. You have to iterate, one then the other, repeat. A lazy tech might set toe once and then give up on the camber.
