Tint needs to be removed, now what?

I have a silver 2009 335 coupe. I just had my windows tinted at 20% all-around and have already been pulled over twice in 1 month for illegal tint! I have made the decision to get a lighter tint at a shop using the same SunTek film. Should I (A) leave the 20% on the very back window and get all the sides tinted at a lighter 35% or (B) take it all off and get 35% all around (except for windshield)? option A. would be cheaper, but would I notice a difference in the tint % from the outside?

I would do option B just for the cleaner look. If you need to remove the tint yourself, I would reccomend a steamer.

What part of orange county? All of my vehicles have at least 20% or darker all around except for the main windshield and have only gotten pulled over once in the past 5 years. But that was at 3 in the morning in a ghetto area haha.

I was hoping you would say option A, but if it's going to be noticeable I'd rather just remove it . Thanks!

Well you could still go with option A if you feel it would work better $-wise for you. What color is your interior? That says alot as well

My interior is black. It would be better for me money wise to go with option A, but the most important thing for me is to have a clean look. I wanted to keep that darker rear tint on the very back window for added privacy, but it's not worth it if it's going to be noticeable against the 35% on the sides.

To really play it safe, run 50% on fronts, 35% on rears and 20% in back. The fade to black makes it look like your fronts aren't tinted. I did one of my Audi's this way and it is not that noticeable for mismatch, but just subtle enough to have the piggies leave you alone.

i would go with option B, i have 35% on my car all the way around, and have no regrets, used to have 20 on my audi a4 before, with 35% i find i can see better in the rain at nite, LoL maybe its my eyeballs, go with the clean professional look
