Is the valentine 1 still number one in regards to radar detectors or have they fallen due to the newer technology of others like the 9500ix

i have the Passport 9500ix, its really really cool. It has GPS so it auto-mutes locations that i "lock out" the signal.. I turned X off and was wondering if K can be turned off as well..

OP - i am always in the Beverly Hills/Santa Monica/West LA area, i'd definitely turn K off as well.. To many beeps when you're cruising down Wilshire or Santa Monica.. Laser and KA have always worked properly, i haven't had a ticket since i bought it a year ago

i was in the westwood area today, and there were a lot of cops today, since part of westwood was closed. While i was parked i saw about 10-15 cop cars. My X Band was going crazy the entire time, when usually in westwood it never goes off like this.

just went and programmed my v1... I'm running version 3.872...
I went and changed setting "1"-X Band off, Changed "E"- Stay muted at 4 lights....

The one thing I'm wondering if i should do is setting "G" mute rear K-Band.. or should i turn it off completely and turn off E also
