My New E90 :)
I had posted this in the general forum, but thought i should probably put it up in the UK specific section.
-2005 E90 325i SE But this is no ordinary 325i SE. It was built as a BMW demonstration car, and its original owner for its first year was BMW, so this thing is loaded up to the absolute hilt. -Arctic Blue Metallic Paint -17" Staggered M sport Alloys -M sport Suspension -M sport Steering wheel -Electric sports seats with electric bolsters -Active Steering -Professional Navigation System -Hi-Fi Speaker System -Light Package -TV system -I-Drive -Extended lighting -Bluetooth with Phone prep -Dakota Lemon Yellow with Black contrast interior -Sliding front arm-rest -Brushed Aluminium Trim -6 speed manual -Exterior illuminating door handles -PDC -Drive off assistant -Factory coated heat reflective glass -Tyre Pressure Monitoring System -Auto wipers and auto lights the only things it doesnt have that I would have wished were on it: -Xenon headlights with angel eyes (no idea why it doesnt have these) -Electric Folding Mirrors Basically, it's not really missing much . I suspect at the time of its launch it was pretty much the highest spec 3 series you could get. The bodywork and interior look immaculate and theres not a mark on it, it's a testament to the previous owner who clearly cared a lot for this car: Last edited by shrink; 07-06-2012 at 06:55 PM.. |

Xenons were an option from start of production.

very odd given the rest of the spec that it was never specified with Xenons.
The headlights are likely to be the only thing I will upgrade on this car. Although likely to LCi Halogens to avoid having to mess around with wiring etc |

memory seats yes
sunroof no i'd actually intended to be buying either a new F10 520d or a jaguar XF 2.2d in the new year, but a complete failure of my existing car meant that plans have had to be set back a few years. |

Is the wing mirrors not folded in the pictures? Lol
Only thing mines doesnt have is heated seats, but I have boot and roof spoiler fitted from standard on it mines from the previous owners request.. Like the colour or yours would be a real good shine of it if given good polish with bits sun out for the pictures lol What does extended interior lightning me tho? Lol |

could definitely have used some good sunshine for sure
my mirrors were folded manually lol, cos i'm paranoid of anyone taking them off when they go past. The extended lighting is a mis-input from me... its just got the standard S563A lighting pack, which includes the footwell lights, exterior handle lights and front and rear dome lights. bout the only mod I have planned for this car, is to get some LCI headlights in there, so I can get angel eyes. I've never liked roof spoilers so will be side-stepping that one, but i would like to consider the possibility of a boot M-Sport lip spoiler at some point. |

Nice spec. I recently bought an e90 330i and tracked down and had a chat to the previous owner last night: turns out mine was a "BMW Exhibition Car", which sounds similar idea to yours. Funnily enough the glaring omissions in the spec are xenons and heated seats too. Mine only covered 800 miles in it's first 8 months of ownership with BMW before the previous owner (to me) bought it. Not quite sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing!

yeah same thing here... low miles from BMW as first owner. I guess things like heated seats and xenons arent neeed when you're showing a car off in daylight conditions. I guess they went for the package that had the most to "show off" about. so things like nav/wheels/hifi etc

well on this street, my mate had a mirror on his jaguar XKR taken clean off.. that cost him almost £700 by the time it was painted and fitted.
So, I'm happy to take 30 seconds out of my day, to fold my mirrors up just wish there was a button to do it instead haha, but i refuse to start tearing apart doorcards and wiring looms on this car. Its in perfect dealer maintained condition, and i'd like to keep it that way. I may even ask BMW how much they'll charge to fit the M-Tech Spoiler properly. |

I recently sold mine, but when I bought it, it was a dealer launch car, with the same spec as yours. New, it would have been about £35,000!. It had been fitted with carbon fibre front splitters and a boot spoiler. Get some Blackline rear lights on it too!

i do like the rear spoiler it must be said, and i'm surprisingly impressed by those front splitters, although its unlikely i'd add them myself my immediate mission is getting some chrome exhaust finishers at a reasonable price, BMW's £43 per shot (e.g. £86 a pair) is just obscene for two bits of metal tubing! |

I ended up just buying these:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2906873602...#ht_2038wt_887 62mm outer diamater, and my pipes are 60mm so should be pretty close to perfect. And at that kinda price, I dont care if they look shit in a years time, i'll just get new ones! I do like the spoiler though |

Even the BMW ones aren't a tight fit - they have a screw to tighten onto the pipe. Those you've got should be fine.
The spoiler does look good compared to having the standard boot lid!

the biggest obstacle for me would be my desire to do the boot spoiler properly. E.g. a BMW part painted by a decent shop and fitted well.
the spoiler is at least £160 from BMW, then the cost of paint and fitting etc do you know how the original is put on? seems BMW put it on with some kinda bonding glue and then use sealant on the edges. But I could be wrong on that one. |
