Adaptive Headlight Problem, no solution WORKS!
I recently replaced my passenger headlight once i got the adaptive headlight error. Then ofcorse it would stay in one postion and i tried to program it. Reading some forum members solution i wrote a blank.man file to my Lmsc, rmsc and Nfrm modules. As soon as i did that the adaptive headlight error popped up and my driver side wouldnt move anymore. So im at a LOST. i tried removing adaptive headlight from my VO and adding it back, nada. I even replaced my AHL unit for driver side and still same problem. Im pretty sure this is a coding issue and i need to "program" these lights. Someone HELP

LOL ^ no need to PM..just post it here (although I already know it and posted below).
OP did you try to program the module using Winkfp with your VIN? Try that and then using expertmode (not blank .man file), read the module and then set job to sg_coderien (sp?) and then code module. Does this method with expertmode will revert the module to stock. If you want to remove the adaptive feature all together. Use the VO method to remove $524. FA_write vin to CAS and FRM then code the FRM to default using expertmode. |

Yea I solved my issue with coding the lsmc and rsmc files with another members who has a 5 series. That made it all work, no errors And I have my adaptive headlights. For some reason using a blank file did not work and neither did another 3 series lsmc and rsmc files work. The only one that worked was some guys file who had an e60

That's because the blank .man file is NOT THE CORRECT METHOD.
It's been stated over and over. Also... using someone else's files in your car is incredibly risky. |
