My time with my e92 has ended today :(

I am sad to say that today is the final day of my 36 month lease with my BSM 2009 e92 335i. I have to admit I am quite, no very sad to be letting her go .

Yesterday we spent our final quality time together, cleaning the leather, vacuuming the interior, washing the engine bay and detailing the exterior. It was indeed my final bonding moment with her. This morning when I left for work I said good bye , thinking of all the times we spent together as I walk towards the bus never to see her again .

I was always very happy to have this car. It was an amazing performer, looked great and was hardly ever a hassle. I have no regrets!

She finished her tenure with a low 19k miles and minor scratches here and there. Very good condition.

Mod list in chrono order;
Procede Rev 2 lol
Tints
Black bumper reflectors
Rear deck M3 Lip
ACS Rear window spoiler
19" BBS CH Black edition
BMW front bumper spoiler
TVNAV2GO
Carbon Fiber interior trip wrap
19" Iconz 830zr
Macht Schnell Catless DPs
JB4
M3 Rep front bumper
M3 Rep side skirts
OEM M-tech rear bumper
Duke Dynamics CF rear quad diffuser
Remus Race Exhaust
BMS quick mount meth kit
19" Linea Corsa Satin black ZS2
19" Avant Garde M359
Remus Race Exhaust
Then back to stock!

Here is a photo journal.

I will still be around!

seems like a lot time, energy and money wasted, someone please explain the advantages of a lease, also do you have the option of keeping the UDM at the end of lease for extra fee?

No money or time wasted, time to move on. I got some of my money back while still giving everyone a great deal on the part out. Leasing is good bc you pay for the amount of the car you use, and get into a new car at the lease end. If i bought the car from the start and sold it today I would actually lose a little more. Either way makes no difference leasing or buying a car unless you plan on keeping the car for 5+ years. you start to realize the gains of buying after 6 years of owning the car.

To make it more clear. This car I put 4k down, including taxes and had a payment of 596 per month on a 54.5k msrp for a total of 25k per 3 years. Lets finance the same car over 5 years... 54.5 negotiated down to 52.5k So 57.5k including taxes and 62.5k with interest negotiated. So that's a payment of 1041 per month for 5 years opposed to a payment of 596 per month for 6 years. After 5 years the financed car in good condition is worth around 20k. If you sell it at that point you pay out of pocket, 42.5k while holding a 1080 per month payment. If you leased its 50.1k out of pocket but you get the car for an extra year which is work 1/6 or 8.3k. So really, after 5 years of leasing 42k out of pocket and 5 years of financing 42k out of pocket.

I agree, plus you get a guaranteed residual at the end. I've leased 5 of my 7 BMW's and always have a great experience. Plus it's great getting into a new BMW every 2-3 years without losing your shirt. And as long as you trade the car for a new one and don't just hand the keys over and walk away there are no worries about miles or anything like that. Plus ( at my dealership at least) I always get a customer loyalty discount on whatever I trade into. It's a pretty good deal if you aren't someone who keeps a car 5+ years
