Attaching Driver Side Mirror

Hi everyone, tried searching for this but didn't see anything on the actual install of the mirror itself...not the housing assembly. Anyone know if it's as easy as snapping on?

BTW, the reason this mirror needs replacing is some dildo hit it with his truck and then proceeded to drive off. My girlfriend was with her friend on the way to her friends wedding and couldn't chase the guy down. Really bad timing!

I have no idea how it didnt knock the entire mirror housing off the car.

Thanks! Oh and I'm new to the BWM world as this is my first one! My other ride is a 350z.

lol now that i re-read my post i just pictured it how i wrote it! hey i guess a dildo could break the mirror if you hit it hard enough! that diagram doesnt show how the mirror is actually attached though. does it snap to the round part (labeled 5) or is there something special that needs to be done.

ive tried to pry the mirror off from the housing, but its not popping off. Like i applied some pressure on it, but i dont want to pull too hard and crack the mirror. Could anyone just verify that that's the proper way to remove the mirror. thanks
