Red face UK Gig Gallery

For a bit of fun, I thought the UK section could do with a thread with photos of gigs / concerts / festivals that members have been to.

I was lucky enough to see Travis play at Dalby Forest in the North Yorkshire Moors as part of the Forestry Commission tour, on Sat June 23rd.

It p***ed down throughout the north-east on that day & for days previously, but luckily, all the wife & I saw at the gig was bright sunshine!

Fran & the boys came through the crowd with gowns on, Rocky-style & they walked straight past me!

Great gig, great Glaswegian band (thought I'd get that in for you, Gordon aka Z4 Beemer ) & we had a great time.

Enjoy the photos & please start uploading your own, especially the MF Paul's shots of his time during the 'Nolan' tours!

Hello Viv !

No photo's, but this year I have been witness to ...

Snow Patrol at the NIA

Kasabian and Razorlight at the NEC Arena

and .... in case I am not depressed enough already ...

I have the cheery sounds of Mr Damien Rice to look forward to at the NIA in September.

You certainly get around Simon.

To put a smile on your face, perhaps the MF Paul should take you along to one of the forthcoming Nolan re-union gigs, which I'm sure he's in the process of organising!

Ahh that would be great. I haven't seen Nolans for ages. Not since that time that I was in their bedroom and I gave some breakfast to Coleen.

Older. It is the wisdom, knowledge of GFMVs and all this talk of family cars that did it.

Don't be offended though, I thought Carl was 57 til I saw his pic.

Ahhh .. well I may have some distinguished grey hair and some knowledge of financial acronyms - but I'm young at heart.

Here are a few of the Genesis gig at Old Trafford on Saturday night (07-07-07)

Great sound and lightshow.

I've seen them a few times now, and they seem to get better with age..... but then don't we all

I've not been to see anyone so far this year - I cram all of my years' live music into one weekend in August, at the V Festival in Chelmsford.

Have been for several years running now, is a great weekend - I'm not normally the camping type (I much prefer a nice hotel with a pool and a kingsize bed) but the facilities at V are as bearable as those at a festival get!

The line up this year is fantastic, the hardest part is choosing who you want to see! Definites on my list this year are:

Snow Patrol
Pink
Kanye West
Paolo Nutini
The Killers
Kasabian
James
The Fratellis
The Kooks
Manic Street Preachers
Foo Fighters
Editors
The Proclaimers
Just Jack
Lily Allen
Mika
Guillemots

Should be a good weekend!!

Nice Photo's RockIt :rocks:

Somewhere to the left of the soundbox on the pitch of the Genesis gigs, you have a picture of the back of my head (with a full head of hair )
I can't just make myself out or the Mrs who had a Yellow and Blue jacket on.

Here's a few more of my recent shows, couple of 'David Gilmour' at the Royal Albert Hall last year, couple of 'Elton John' when he played Durham Cricket Ground, another couple of 'Journey' at Newcastle City Hall, and a few at Live 8 with REM, Maddona, Robbie Williams and Pink floyd.

I've quickly resized them so i hope they're not too big/small.

Claw...wish I'd been able to see Pink Floyd!

Gigs lined up for after the summer so far are:

Black Sabbath - Heaven and Hell (with Dio) - MEN
The Stereophonics - Sheffield
The Police - MEN

Saw Snow Patrol recently and Kelly Jones' solo tour at York Theatre Royal. Also saw Quo at Halifax theatre! And too many bands to mention in the past. :rocks:

Best ever gig had to be Muse. That band are on a whole other level from most acts. Simply astounding.
