335 e92 6MT 1st to 2nd shift problems

Mods on car: JB4 stage 1 tune, BMS Downpipe... Both these mods were put on last week if that makes a difference. 2011 N55 e92 335i

I was at a red light and wanted to open up the engine once it turned green. I pulled into first and at around 6500 rpm shifted into second. Once in second it felt as if the car was in neutral. Revs would go up but the car was no longer pulling.

I have driven many manual cars (both non-turbo and turbo) and haven't experienced this before. Is this common when shifting quickly and at high rpms?

Did you smell your clutch burning?

problem resolved. BMW OEM clutch is a little sensitive. Talked to LTBMW (Long Tran's shop) and told me this is a common problem. Takes some getting used to when shifting quickly and at higher RPMs. Wasn't sure if this was normal because my cousins EVO8 catches like a mother... Just gotta be a little more sensitive with this car.
