Cobb remap stage 1

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?p=12283270

Was wondering if you guys could comment?! or advice.

Basically, the car is "fine" at standard, got 308bhp and the 325 ftlb of torque as quoted by BMW.

The issue is that I'm not getting the "power and power delivery" expected when running the remaps.

I've tried the 2 stage 1 remaps....aggressive and sports, and the power curves of the dyno are "all over the place"....

Not sure if theres an issue with the map itself? or maybe some possible leak or diverter vales issues with the engine? But if there was an "issue" with the engine, surely I wouldn't have my "standard" power output???!!!....

BMW quotes 306 bhp....ok....give or take 10bhp....i'm not gona fight for 10/20bhp....

what I'm fighting for is the 70/ 80bhp(crank) or so that Cobb claims....

Maybe your car is not reaching the target boost for the map as cobb increases the pressure to almost 17psi or something for map1 aggressive.

Plug your Cobb in and find something to mount the ap. select engine live data and find the turbo pressure data and go for a drive and note what pressure it holds up to.

Do some datalogs with 3rd and 4th gear acceleration runs and send them to COBB directly. They're usually very responsive and may be able to pinpoint the problem.
