hellllllllo!! So heres the situation.. I found an extremely nice e92 335i (09) with low miles (about 24k miles) but it has "frame/unibody" damage. The car has been fully repaired and honestly looks great..i mean i can't even tell where the accident was. BUT...unfortunately there was an accident and according to the CarFax, a "severe" one. Airbags did deploy. The seller is fully disclosing this info and is selling the car at an extremely discounted price. Is it a go or no go..(ultimately, i'm gonna make my own decision but i just wanna see what more people have to say about this)

I would personally not buy a car that had frame damage. It will never be "right" and selling it later will be a nightmare. There are plenty of cars out there without damage and for the right price, just be patient and watch autotrader, local ads, cars.com.

very true. I'm not really looking to resell the car..probably just gonna drive it until it shits the bed. I feel that the discounted price makes up for it

Very few of us keep a car till the bolts fall off. Resale value meant alot to me as I keep a car maybe 2 years at most then start lookin' again lol. |

Did you take it for a nice long test drive, maybe have an independent body shop you know of and trust look it over carefully? If the seller is worth their salt they will understand and comply. Let us know what happens brother! |

Brother if you are a dealer, you already knew the answer to your question. No offense whatsoever but why even bother with a previously wrecked car if you can go to the auction and buy one with a clear title for a wholesale price?
Even at a "discounted price" this has me scratching my head. |

Cars involved in an accident, where the airbags are deployed, are not repaired here... Insurances pronounce them as 'financially totaled'.
They are shredded or sold of for parts or to east european countries. I would NEVER EVER buy a car like this!!!!! |

I searched for 3 min and found these. You can usually buy a car from a dealer if you are a dealer, just ask if they will consider wholesaling it out.

If "extremely discounted price" means dirt ass cheap, go for it. Drive it around, enjoy it, and if it fails, part it out and recoup some of your losses. Plus, your father is a mechanic, I just read a thread where a guy bought and restored four 1 series Ms with some having heavy frame damage. So have your dad repair any quarks the car may have.

Oh man. I am a car dealer and when cars are marked frame damage/unibody you're knowingly buying a JUNK CAR. The reason they're selling it so cheap is because people don't want to deal with court and stuff. Remember, you get what you paid for. I ship cars to Lebanon (mostly bmw's) and my buyers DO KNOW what CARFAX and FRAME DAMAGE IS.
Don't try to fool anyone. And please, do me a favor... According to the federal law you are required to notify the buyer about the frame damage and prior accident history. Listen what others are saying.

then go for it
I know some horror stories about "wreckedt" vehicles, but I won't share them. Don't mean to scare you or anything lol Who knows, maybe it is a good car and well worth what you are willing to pay.
