new turbo for $600

So my car is at the dealer for the wastegate rattle. They have diagnosed it to be the front turbo. As an aside the manager told me that it is also losing boost because of the wastegate. (I have had no issues or codes)

After a lot of talk between the dealer and bmwna, they have offered to go 75/25 on a new turbo for me.

The cost to me, essentially $600.

I have an 08 335xi with 58k miles.

This is a no-brainer right?

What do you guys think?

Extended warranty is off for now. Lawsuit was appealed by BMW. They are offering me a discount because it's been an issue since about 30k miles...

I just bought all the mods to go FBO, so I figured now is the best time to get the dealer involved

So have I and Iam very close to my service advisor (one of my personal friends) and he said it was in affect for a few days to where they started doing the recalls but only about 3 cars total and then the appeal came into play. So BMWNA DID appeal it, but doesnt mean that sometime in the near future, the turbo's or "stock turbos" will be under BMW recall for 8 years or 82,000 miles.... Where did they get these figures, I have NO idea whatsoever. why 82,000 miles not 80,000 miles or 100,000 miles lol. Wish this applied to me but on the other hand, I dont I feel pretty comfortable with my RB's as they are running excellent, as expected!

It's not a recall, it's on customer complaint basis only.

i have the same battle going on in canada. mine is 09 and rattle is extremely noticeable. bmw dealership confirmed but said i am out of warranty. once i started telling about the recall\customer sat issue and the latest extended warranty info (attached) they said they will look into. If they offer me 75/25 i would scream from joy. the parts are expensive but the major cost comes from the labor.
