Help me understand the M3's history... I thought the e30 M3 was made because in order to be in rallys the car needed to be a production car as opposed to what the host said "BMW only made the M3 because of the 190E". Maybe I'm getting this confused with the M1.

Obvious bias towards the Mercedes was evident throughout the entire "review". Wasn't surprised at the end when he said he bought the 190E.
The E30 M3 was/is obviously the better car, there is a reason that to this day everyone and their mother remembers/desires the E30 M3 and not the 190E

I used to have a BMW 4 banger (okay...it was a 318is so it wasn't really in the same league ![]() One more thing, you say everyone and their mother desires the E30 M3 but that may be because you spend a lot of time on BMW forums and stuff, I know a lot of Benz guys who are just as deeply in love with their 190E. I actually used to have a sort-of similar car to that, to: a 300E 2.6 in that same color combo, the powertrain in mine was gas mileage oriented (kind of like a 528e) but those old 190E and 300Es were excellent cars. If some dumb bitch hadn't ruined mine I would probably still have it to this day (at over 250,000 miles!). |

As a former 190E 16V owner, I have to agree with the host. For the money, the 16V is the better car. That's why I bought one.

I agree. Unfortunately I think his review on the "action" side was pretty weak.
Give us some Chris Harris slides and some more action. Take us back 30 years on the autobahn or something while your there please!!! Boring.

+1 if you were smiling the whole time the E30 was on screen.
That thing just looks friggin amazing even after all these years. The front fascia = perfection. E30 325 was the first BMW I've ever sat in way back when I was a kid so I have a greater appreciation for this machine. |

If you guys can make your cars sound like that and also look like that, you have a winner! The E30 M3 was the car that made me fall in love with BMWs. Clean lines, a look that never ages, a great engine and a great shifter. I love those headlights and grille and just about everything WAY more than the E92 and definitely more than the F30. After the E46 M3, it sort of went downhill...
